Jordan’s tourism income down 4.9% in 1st half of 2024

Jordan's tourism income in the first half of 2024 was at $3.3 billion, dropping 4.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023 due to a 7.9 decline in the number of tourists, Petra reports.

Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan indicated that despite the decline, tourism income in June 2024 grew by 2.1 percent, compared to June 2023, reaching $643 million.
