Juvenile courts system growing in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 57 juvenile judges currently work in Kazakhstan, according to judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galiya Akkuova.
"In 2012, President Nursultan Nazarbayev decreed to establish juvenile courts countrywide," Ms Akkuova said at the press conference at the Central Communications Service in Astana on Thursday. "Presently there are two courts in Almaty, Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions apiece. Juvenile courts were also established in all regional centers of the country," Galiya Akkuova noted. "57 judges were selected to work at these courts. They all boast at least 10 years of experience in the court system and 14,8% of them have a degree in pedagogy," she added.
