K. Massimov visited Pavlodar Oil Refinery

PAVLODAR. November 14. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ Head of the Government Karim Massimov has visited Pavlodar Oil Refinery JSC within his working trip to Pavlodar oblast today. K. Massimov expressed satisfaction with the work of the complex on hydrogen production launched this year.

Today Pavlodar Oil Refinery is one of the modern high-technological ventures of the republic which employs 4,000 qualified workers and experts. Since August 2009 the venture enters the structure of KazMunaiGas JSC.

The new complex was put into operation July 3, 2009 with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan during a video conference. Its launch allows producing automobile fuel which meets Euro-3 and Euro-4 standards.

The new unit fully covers the oil refinery's demand in hydrogen-bearing gas. Construction work was carried out by Koch-Glitch Swiss Company.

The unit has produced over 60% of high-duty petrol due to modernization and implementation of new technologies. "This demonstrates competitiveness of the products of the Pavlodar Oil Refinery", Director General of the plant Shukhrat Danbay said.

Pavlodar Oil Refinery meant for processing of six million tons of West Siberian oil is of strategic importance for fulfillment of the tasks on complex development of oil processing plants in 2009-2015.
