«KADEX-2012» kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. May 3. KAZINFORM The second international military exhibition "KADEX-2012" has opened in Astana today, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Defense informs. The official opening of the exposition with President N. Nazarbayev's participation will be held in the afternoon.  

"The current military-technical policy: problems and prospects" is the theme of the international scientific and technical conference to be attended by heads and specialists of domestic and foreign ministries and departments, scientific and educational institutions, enterprises and companies involved in weapons and military equipment that has opened the exhibtion.

Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov noted the theme of the conference was relevant. During discussions, participants of the conference will discuss the pressing issues of military-technical policy in order to find the best ways to improve it, and to outline the prospects for its development.

The role and place of the state defense order in the development of military-industrial complex, the issues of scientific support for the development of armaments and military equipment and military-industrial complex, modern lines and features of the development of enterprises and organizations of defense, promising directions of development of military-technical cooperation, Kazakhstan military-industrial complexes in foreign countries will be tabled during the conference .

Discussion topics cover a wide range of issues concerning the problems and prospects of development of military-technical policy as part of the state's military policy.

The work of the military scientific and technical conference will last for three days. Upon completion of the conference results will be summarized and ​​recommendations will be made.
