Kalachi village reports new cases of bizarre sleeping sickness

KOKSHETAU. KAZINFORM - Two more cases of sleeping dropsy were registered in Kalachi village in Akmola region on Sunday, Kazinform correspondent Aslan Ospanov reports.

According to reports, a woman born in 1988 and a little girl aged 3 were hospitalized with symptoms of sleeping dropsy on April 12.

Over the past two years nearly 170 cases of bizarre sleeping dropsy have been recorded in Kalachi village. 60 families or 150 people were resettled to 12 districts of Akmola region due to bizarre sleeping sickness.
