Kaleidoscope of Talents charity festival gathers over 500 participants in Karaganda region

For the twentieth time in a row, the city of Karaganda hosts Kaleidoscope of Talents regional inclusive festival of sports and creativity. Throughout four days, the participants of various age groups will present their skills to the jury and spectators, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The festival is initiated and organized by Luchik Nadezhdy (Ray of Hope) public charity foundation and the internal policy department of the regional akimat.

“This year we mark two jubilee events - 20 years of the Festival and 25th anniversary of Luchik Nadezhdy foundation. More and more people participate in our festival every year. This time we have received 800 applications from the entire region and selected almost 500 participants who will compete in nine nominations. Children of 5 years and upwards, as well as adults are eligible to participate in the festival," says Tatyana Kravchenko, chairperson of the foundation.
Three venues were chosen for holding the festival. Sports competitions are held at the Serik Sapiev Boxing Center. The contest of the vocalists, readers and dancers is organized at the Concert Hall of the regional House of Friendship. And an exhibition of creativity and applied arts is held in the building of Luchik Nadezhdy foundation.

The winners of the Karaganda festival are often invited to various international creative competitions and show excellent results there. Thus, well-known paradancer Aigul Balmagambetova has been participating in the Kaleidoscope of Talents for 20 years. This year, she will perform with a new dance "Will I become happy."

“I have been performing at the festival for 20 years. When I came here for the first time, I was only 12. Now I am a professional dancer. I have competed at different international wheelchair dancing tournaments. I was in Bulgaria for four times, where I won three gold medals and one bronze medal. Every year I perform at the festival organized by Luchik Nadezhdy foundation I love a special atmosphere and people here. I want to show my skills to other participants to inspire them, to make them believe in themselves and achieve their goals,” says Aigul Balmagambetova.
The awards ceremony will be held on the 20th of October. The laureates of the festival will be awarded with diplomas and prizes, and each participant will receive a medal.
