Karaganda oblast Governor reported to President on implementation of Forced Industrialization Program

ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Akim (Governor) of Karaganda oblast Serik Akhmetov.

The Governor informed the President of the results of the region's socio-economic development over 9 months of the current year. It was noted that industrial output growth made 105.6% in this period. Issues concerning development of the basic sectors of the region's economy are successfully solved.

S. Akhmetov reported on the course of realization of the projects under the State Program of Forced Industrial Innovative Development. Currently all projects put into service in H1, 2010 are functioning. Those projects which must be commissioned by the year end are under control.

The parties also discussed the preparation of the region for winter season.
