Karaganda region, Kazakhmys Corporation sign memo of coop to support small business

KARAGANDA. February 26. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ The Akimat of Karaganda region and Kazakhmys Corporation signed a memo of cooperation in supporting small and medium business.

As the press service of the regional governor reported, the document was signed within a working trip of the governor to Zhezkazgan.

The memo provides increase in corporation's procurements spend with local suppliers, attraction of regional enterprises to realization of investment programs of the company on modernization and development of production capacities, the press service informs. Kazakhmys Corporation undertakes assisting small and medium business development through establishment of new productions around the Corporation.

This year the Corporation plans to purchase goods, works and services to the amount of KZT 53.4 bln from the local producers.

The agreement was signed by Karaganda region governor Serik Akhmetov and Chairman of the Board of the Company Eduard Ogai.
