Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds brief talks with world leaders at COP29 summit in Baku
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held brief talks with the delegation heads within the COP29 climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, Akorda reports.
On the sidelines of the summit, President Tokayev held a number of meetings with world leaders, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Moldova Maia Sandu, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as well as other high-ranking officials.
During the meetings, the leaders discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in different spheres, issues of the global climate agenda as well as interaction within international bodies.
