President Tokayev meets Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.
The President thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the support in organization of the One Water Summit in Riyadh. The Head of State expressed confidence that the Summit being held under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan and France, would greatly contribute to the promotion of the global environmental agenda.
As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, this year marks the 30th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. In his words, over this period the countries have built trust-based political dialogue, created a solid legal framework and implemented a number of investment projects.
The sides also discussed the issues of trade-economic and investment cooperation, including in energy, oil and gas industry, transport and logistics.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud highlighted that Kazakhstan had been an important partner of Saudi Arabia in the Central Asian region. He pointed out broad opportunities opening up for a progressive development of the bilateral trade-economic and investment ties.
The sides also exchanged views on the topical regional and international issues.
