Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visits Ice Palace in Turkistan
As part of his working trip to Turkistan, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Ice Palace and met with sportsmen, Kazinform News Agency reports referring to the Akorda press service.
The complex is designed to hold short-track speed skating, figure skating and ice hockey training sessions and competitions. It is fitted with equipment made in Italy, Canada, Germany and Finland.
The Head of State enjoyed the skills of young sportsmen and met with them and their coaches.
The players of the local Turan Tigers HC presented the President with the team uniform.
The Turkistan Arena stadium, Olympic Center, Bekzat Sattarkhanov Sports Complex, Turan Football Academy, seven tennis courts, and a 51m long cycling trail were built in the city under the region’s socioeconomic development package plan for 2021-2025.
