Kazak Kuresi (Kazakh wrestling) Championship held in Africa

ASTANA. March 6. KAZINFORM - In Cape Town, South Africa, from February 26 to March 3, the championship of Africa in national struggle of Kazak Kuresi (Kazakh wrestling) took place among adults, the press service of Kazakh Agency for Sports and Physical Education reports.

The partakers of the championship are 30 athletes from six African countries: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Gabon, and Nigeria.

The sports event had been conducted in 4 weight categories - 60, 70, 90, and + 90 kg. During the championship there were held a training seminar and a training for judges.

60 kilograms

3rd place - Michael Pelonomi (Botswana)

70 kilograms
