Kazakh, Afghan banks conduct first test payment, as countries eye $3bn trade turnover

Zaman Bank of Kazakhstan and Gazanfar Bank of Afghanistan conducted the first test payment operation to the tune of 10,000 US dollars within 24 hours, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The countries are set to test payment operations in larger amounts in different currencies, including euro and Chinese yuan.

Expansion of trade turnover to up to 3 billion US dollars is becoming a reality in the nearest future, noted Serik Zhumangarin.
