Kazakh, Afghan FMs met in Astana

TANA. November 14. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Today Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Zalmai Rassoul, who arrived in Kazakhstan for participation in the 12th session of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan.

As Minister Y.Kazaykhanov informed, during the talks there was confirmed an intention to expand and deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation based on the principles of friendship, respect and mutual benefit.

"Kazakhstan is a reliable foreign partner of Afghanistan. Astana pays important significance to development of political contacts with Kabul in bilateral and multifaceted formats. There was outlined readiness of the countries for close interaction within UN, SCO, CICA and etc," Y.Kazykhanov said.
