Kazakh Ambassador, Attorney-General of Spain met in Madrid

ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM A meeting of Kazakh Ambassador Yergali Bulegenov with Attorney-General of Spain Candido Conde Pumpido was held in Madrid, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The Kazakh Diplomat informed on state and development of socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan, measures, taken by the Government of the country on world financial crisis overcome, Kazakhstan?s international initiatives, democratic transformations in the society, achievements in the field of international accord. The Kazakh Ambassador stressed the importance of President N.Nazarbayev?s initiative on the rejection of the fourth - largest nuclear arsenal in the world and closing of the nuclear test site. The Ambassador also informed on adopted last year ?The Road to Europe? State program, connected with the preparation for Kazakhstan?s OSCE chairmanship in 2010 and aimed at the achievement of strategic partnership with leading European countries, including Spain. The Kazakh Diplomat noted the importance of interaction and development of bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking and illegal arms trade. Attorney-General of Spain agreed with the interlocutor on the fact that there exists special level of Kazakh-Spanish political relationships and expressed support in further development of cooperation, confirming readiness for open and direct dialogue between prosecution agencies of Spain and Kazakhstan.
