Kazakh Ambassador, Canadian Minister of International Trade meet in Ottawa

ASTANA. May 14. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Yerlan Abildayev met with Minister of International Trade – deputy of the Parliament of Canada Stockwell Day in Ottawa. In the course of the meeting the issues of trade-economic cooperation between the two states were discussed; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA?s press service.

It was noted that economic interaction of Kazakhstan and Canada has a tendency of annual growth, but there is a big potential for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. According to the Minister, Canada is interested in expansion of trade relations with Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Ambassador, in his turn, invited Stockwell Day to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at any convenient time. At this visit business circles of the two states could hold a joint business forum. Accepting the invitation, Stockwell Day noted that he will visit Kazakhstan in the near future.
