Kazakh Ambassador, Chairman of General Organization of Ports Customs and the State of Qatar met

ASTANA. March 12. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Azamat Berdybai met with Chairman of General Organization of Ports Customs and the State of Qatar, Ahmad Ali Mohammad Al Mohannadi yesterday in Doha, Kazinform refers to the poress service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting the Kazakh Ambassador extended the Qatari side an invitation to take part in the I Transport Forum of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue member states that will be held in Astana on April 29, 2009. The Ambassador told about political and economic reforms in our country. The Qatari interlocutor showed interest in the realization of state programs on the basis of long-term development strategy ?Kazakhstan 2030?. The Chairman of General Organization of Ports Customs and the State of Qatar was briefed on the main provisions of the Kazakh President?s Address to the Nation of March 6, where a new plan of further modernization of the economy and realization of the employment strategy, aimed at ensuring post-crisis development of the country are defined. Some issues of the development of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The sides noted that the relations between the two countries have been enlivened and reached a high level of interaction in political, economic and cultural fields.
