Kazakh Ambassador hopes for earlier accession of Japan as full-fledged member to CICA

During Tuesday meeting with Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of Japan's House of Representatives Muneo Suzuki Kazakh Ambassador Akylbek Kamaldinov expressed hope for earlier accession of Japan as a full-fledged member to the CICA; Kazakh MFA's press service told Kazinform.
The Kazakh diplomat told about the Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev's initiative to convene the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. He also informed about Kazakhstan's tasks in the context of chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010. He stressed the necessity to hold a top level meeting within the framework of the organization next year.
Mr. Muneo Suzuki appreciated the Kazakh leader's international initiatives in the sphere of provision of regional and global security. He noted that the two countries should closer cooperate within the CICA.
The parties agreed to exert joint efforts for deepening of strategic partnership and interparliamentary contacts between Kazakhstan and Japan.
