Kazakh Ambassador, Lithuanian Prime Minister met in Vilnius
ASTANA. March 4. KAZINFORM Meeting of the Kazakh Ambassador Galymzhan Koishybayev with Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius was held in Vilnius. Topical issues of bilateral cooperation, prospects for further development of economic cooperation were discussed at the meeting, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
The Ambassador informed the Prime Minister on the current economic situation in Kazakhstan and antirecessionary measures taken by the Kazakh Government.
A.Kubilius noted that Lithuania supports all processes aimed at the rapprochement of Kazakhstan and the European Union. He expressed interest in activation of trade-economic contacts between the two countries, especially in energy, transit-transportation and investment spheres. In this regard, the Lithuanian Prime Minister invited Kazakh representatives to take part in the international transport conference that will be held in autumn in Vilnius.
At the end of the meeting A.Kubilius wished success to the Kazakh Government in world financial crisis overcome and expressed assurance in strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
