Kazakh Ambassador meets Malaysian politician Mahathir Mohamad
ASTANA. March 19. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Ambassador to Malaysia Mukhtar Tleuberdi met March 17 with Tun Mahathir Mohamad, former Prime Minister of this country, world known politician, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Malaysian politician was acquainted with President Nursultan Nazarbayev?s policy on development of inter-religious tolerance and was extended the President's invitation to participate in the oncoming III Congress of the World and Traditional Religions? Leaders.
Mahathir Mohamad appreciated the Kazakh President?s policy to maintain social harmony and stability.
During the talk M. Tleuberdi told about the main provisions of N. Nazarbayev?s Address to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation? and the Kazakh Government?s measures on overcoming the global financial crisis. The former Prime Minister of Malaysia particularly focused on the social orientation of anti-crisis measures taken by the Kazakh government.
Mahathir Mohamad, as the initiator of introduction of a single currency ?golden Dinar? in the Islamic world showed interest in RK President?s idea to establish a single world currency and highlighted the importance of participation of all countries in this process.
Upon completion of the meeting the author of the ?Malaysian miracle? extended his best wishes to our President and confirmed his intention to take part in the III Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions.
