Kazakh Ambassador meets Sec Gen of Saudi Council of Commerce and Industry Chambers
ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Kairat Lama Sharif met yesterday with Secretary General of the Council of Commerce and Industry Chambers of this country Fahad Al-Sultan. The parties discussed further expansion of trade and economic ties between the two countries and noted the role of the Saudi Council of Commerce and Industry Chambers in this process, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh MFA.
The Kazakh Ambassador called on the leadership of the Council to assist in familiarization of the Saudi businessmen with the investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. According to him, the business circles of the two countries can fruitfully cooperate in agriculture, construction and industry. Kazakhstan-Saudi Arabia Intergovernmental Commission and Business Council serve the interests of the businessmen of the two sides. At present the countries work on opening regular air flights and simplification of the procedure of issuing visas for Saudi entrepreneurs.
In turn, the Secretary General of the Saudi Council of Commerce and Industry Chambers confirmed its organization?s striving for expansion of trade and economic coop with Kazakhstan. In particular, Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan expressed readiness to take an active part in the work of the sitting of the Kazakh-Saudi Intergovernmental Commission scheduled for May in Astana and exert every effort for activation of work of the Business Council.
