Kazakh Ambassador meets Tajik Minister of Defense

ASTANA. April 7. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan Abutalip Akhmetov has met with Minister of Defense of this country, Colonel General Sherali Khairulloev in Dushanbe, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Internal Affairs Ministry.

The Ambassador briefed about the outlines of the Kazakh President?s message to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity?. Kazakhstan places special emphasis on establishment of cooperation with Tajikistan in regional security, A. Akhmetov noted. Both states are the member-countries of the SCO and the CSTO. The parties highlighted importance of the oncoming joint anti-terror exercises ?Norak-Antiterror-2009? which ?will set the best pattern of mutually beneficial cooperation of the two countries within the SCO?. Issues regarding training the militaries of the two countries were discussed as well.
