Kazakh Ambassador met with Andorra ministers

BRUSSELS. March 18. KAZINFORM /Yerzhan Ospanov/ Kazakh Ambassador to France Murat Tashibayev met with Foreign Minister of Principality of Andorra Meritxell Mateu Pi. The meeting was held as part of celebration activities on the occasion of the 16 anniversary of Andorra Constitution, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Paris informed Kazinform.

At the meeting the Kazakh Ambassador told about the main provisions of the annual Address of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Nation. He informed of the measures taken by Kazakhstan's Government to stimulate the economy of non-oil-and-gas sector and small and medium businesses. The Foreign Minister of Andorra recived the texts of the President?s Address and 'Path to Europe' Program translated into the English and French languages. Meritxell Mateu Pi studied the President?s Address and commented that the antirecessionary measures taken by Kazakhstan's authority deserve special attention. She emphasized that the democratic reforms and the social and economic achievements of Kazakhstan are reputed in the Western Europe, including Andorra. The Foreign Minister took special interest in the process of preparing to the OSCE chairmanship in 2010 by Kazakhstan, and wished success in the implementation of this important mission and confirmed readiness of the Foreign Ministry of Andorra to provide necessary support. The Kazakh Ambassador also met with Prime Minister of Andorra Albert Pintat. The Prime Minister was briefed on the main points of the President?s Address to the Nation and ?Path to Europe? Government Program. The Head of the Andorra Government also noted that the fight against the global crisis requires joint efforts.
