Kazakh Ambassador met with Head of President's Administration of Belarus

Kazakhstan's diplomat briefed his counterpart on the main aspects of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Nation as of 17 January 2014 and Kazakhstan's Foreign Policy Concept for 2014-2020. Kazakhstan's Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the President's Administration of Belarus for support of two Kazakhstan's bid to host the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana and the country's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council in 2017-2018. The officials also discussed participation of the high-level delegation of Belarus in the 7th Astana Economic Summit in May 2014, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

During the meeting the sides discussed important issues of Kazakhstan-Belarus cooperation, including realization of the agreements achieved during the official visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Kazakhstan last October 2013. The issues of establishing the Eurasian Economic Union were also discussed. Andrey Kobyakov highly estimated the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakhstan-Belarus cooperation, including collaboration within various international organizations.
