Kazakh Ambassador participated in celebration of 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko
In his greeting speech at the opening of the forum, the Kazakhstan diplomat congratulated Ukrainians and participants of the Congress on the jubilee and noted a substantial contribution of Taras Shevchenko to rapprochement of the cultures of Kazakhstan and Ukraine. He reported on the events held in Kazakhstan during the year of the 200th anniversary of the "Great Kobzar" (Kobzar - is a hero of the Ukrainian epic genre and the name of one of Shevchenko's poems albums). "Friendship between the nations of Kazakhstan and Ukraine has been proved by time and strengthened by common matters. In the year of celebration of the 200th anniversary of birth of Taras Shevchenko, pursuant to the instruction of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbyev, our country takes an active part in holding the jubilee events", the Ambassador underscored, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.
