Kazakh Ambassador presents credentials to Lithuanian President
ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM Kazakh Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Lithuania Galymzhan Koishybayev presented credentials to Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA?s press service.
Within the ceremony the Kazakh Ambassador noted development of political, trade-economic and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Lithuania and strengthening of friendly ties between the nations. In the nearest future a constructive political dialogue is called to be activated in the framework of a joint activity in the OSCE Troika.
The Lithuanian President emphasized, that ?Kazakhstan is an important partner of Lithuania in the Central Asian region?. V.Adamkus noted an increase of bilateral trade turnover and necessity to use economic and transport potential of the two countries.
According to the President, program ?Road to Europe?, which was adopted by Kazakhstan last year, and successful cooperation of our countries in the framework of the OSCE promote interaction. V.Adamkus noted that Lithuania will always support further rapprochement of Kazakhstan and the European Union.
The Kazakh Ambassador informed the President of the economic and political situation in Kazakhstan and topical foreign policy goals and initiatives of our country.
V.Adamkus wished President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Kazakh people success and welfare.
