Kazakh Ambassador to the UK visited Aberdeen

On March 5, the Kazakh Ambassador held an annual meeting with the Kazakhstan community in Scotland. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora in Scotland, students, and other citizens of Kazakhstan, who work in Scottish and multinational oil and gas companies.

During the meeting, participants were briefed on major provisions of the President's Address to the People "Kazakhstan's way - 2050: common goal, common interests, common future", and exchanged views on a number of important issues, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

On March 6, a briefing dedicated to the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan was held. This event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the ITE Group Company under support of Aberdeen City Council. The event was attended by representatives of small- and medium-sized businesses from English and Scottish oil and gas service companies.

Ambassador Kairat Abusseitov, Chairman of Aberdeen City Council Gordon McIntosh, a representative of Wood Mackenzie Company, the Head of National Oilwell Varco Company, a representative of the FEI Company, the managing director of publishing company THE OIL & GAS YEAR, as well as representatives of Grata and MGAP law firms. Participants were briefed on development of oil and gas sector, as well as attracting investments and new technologies in Kazakhstan, with particular emphasis on development and support of the local content.
