Kazakh and Chinese Transport Ministers meet in Astana

Kazakh Transport Minister Marat Karabayev met with his counterpart Chinese Minister Li Xiaopeng in Astana as part of the state visit of China’s President to Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Transport Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides focused on the maritime routes development to promote economic ties and improve trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.

The Minister expressed readiness for further deepening of transport logistics and cooperation to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.

As earlier reported, China’s President Xi Jinping arrived in Kazakhstan at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay a state visit and to take part in the 24^th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the SCO member states.
