In his opening speech military attaché of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Marat Batalov noted that under the supervision of the Supreme Commander - President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev - a set of measures was being taken in order to build up professional armed forces meeting the highest international standards.

In the age of global transformation and constantly growing aggression it is crucial to strengthen national defense capability. Kazakhstan has adopted the military reform concept and the Military Development State Program that outlines the military doctrine and problems of army reformation.
Ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in Baku, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) Ramil Gassanov, representatives of Defense Ministry, Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan and many others attended the event.
According to the guests, the reception was traditionally organized at a high level. Achievements and gradual development of the Kazakh army are undeniable. Kazakhstan participates in numerous international military exercises with CIS and NATO member countries.
