Kazakh ballet artists mesmerize Geneva audience

On the eve of the Republic Day, Geneva hosted an evening of ballets starring principal dancers of Astana Opera State Opera and Ballet Theater  and artists of Astana Ballet Theater, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, leading soloist of the Astana Opera Baktiyar Adamzhan and soloist of Astana Opera Anastasia Zaklinskaya demonstrated their art in the legendary ballet of the French choreographer Roland Petit “Young Man and Death” to the music of J. S. Bach.

The unique evening in Switzerland was organized by Camerata Venia and Geneva Dance Events. To emphasize the importance of the event, the organizers specifically invited Kazakh artists to dance the premiere of the ballet, which took place on the stage of the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices theater.

The audience of Geneva enjoyed a brilliant performance by Astana Ballet  dancers in the “Carmen Suite” to the music of Bizet arranged by Shchedrin.

The Geneva public has exquisite taste. The ongoing applause showed genuine enthusiasm for the art and professionalism of our artists.
