Kazakh boxer crowned as WBA Interim bantamweight champion

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's boxer Zhanat Zhakiyanov (25-1, 18KO) has become the WBA Interim bantamweight champion in Monaco, Sports.kz reports.

The Kazakhstani robbed Venezuelan Yonfrez Parejo of the WBA title in a 12-round fight. The bout was held at Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo.
