Kazakh boxers to compete at ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman
The ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships is set to run from November 30 to December 12 in Amman, Jordan, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the National Olympic Committee.
Kazakhstani athletes will represent the country’s flag at the competition.
Head coach of the men’s boxing team of Kazakhstan, Kairat Satzhanov, has indicated that the names of the boxers who will compete in Amman will be announced later.
“We will examine athletes before forming the team. The international tournament dedicated to commemoration of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Karakoza Abdaliyev, will be held soon. At these competitions, we will determine boxers in certain weights, who will go to Amman. In addition, we will hold training camps, after which we will announce the participants of the Asian Championship,” the coach said.
Recall that Kairat Satzhanov was appointed as the new head coach of the men’s boxing team of Kazakhstan on August 16.
