Kazakh boxers to vie at U19 World Boxing Championships in USA
2024 U19 World Boxing Championships will be held at the Pueblo Convention Center in Colorado, USA from October 25 to November 5, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Team Kazakhstan will participate at the tournament, organized by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) for the first time.
A total of 180 athletes from 30 countries are set to compete at the World Boxing Championships. According to the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, four Kazakh boxers will represent the country in the United States.
Erasyl Amangaliev (55kg), Asylkhan Kosherbai (65kg), Dias Serikuly (70kg), and Daniyal Raiymbekov (85kg) will be vying for medals.
Earlier it was reported that the Kazakhstani men's boxing team is currently engaged in preparations for the forthcoming ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. The competition is set to run between November 28 and December 12 in Amman, Jordan. A renowned American coach Christopher Camacho has been invited to the training camp by the President of the NOC, Gennady Golovkin. Camacho will be assisting the coaching staff of the national team of Kazakhstan in preparing the boxers for the continental championship.
