Kazakh capital will build 15 new healthcare facilities by 2027, head of the city healthcare department Aliya Rustemova said, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the akimat’s press service.

Two perinatal centres, two new modern multifield hospitals, including a children’s hospital, and two state and three private polyclinics will be commissioned at large.

The city population increases by 60-70,000 people annually thanks to high birth rates and migration from other regions. Population growth puts pressure on the existing infrastructure. For example, the last state facility was put into service in 2015. Since that time no new state facilities were built in the city. That’s why the key is to build new healthcare facilities during the next few years, Aliya Rustemova said.

Besides, two children’s trauma centres will open at the Children’s City Hospital No.1 and the National Coordination Centre of Emergency Medicine this year.
