Kazakh capital to build one more industrial park
The Kazakh capital will build one more industrial park in the Astana - New City free economic area, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Head of the investments and entrepreneurship development department of Astana Khalel Akimzhanov said the Industrial Park No.1 located in the territory of in the Astana - New City free economic area leads in production output up to 8.6 trillion tenge.
It also takes the lead among all special economic areas in tax payments and exports.
He added the Kazakh capital leads rankings in attracting investments into the national economy. Last year over 1 trillion 900 billion tenge in investments were attracted in Astana that is 13.1% more compared to the previous year. Of which 71% or 1.1 trillion tenge are private investments that is 12.4% more against 2023. Industrial output made 2.5 trillion tenge, 6.7% up.
130 industrial projects with investments up to 345 billion tenge are developed in the special economic area. 70 industrial projects were already launched.
He noted the new industrial park will be commissioned by 2026.
As earlier reported, Kazakhstan was set to implement 180 industrial projects in 2024.
