On December 8, the 14th Winter Charity Ball will be held at the capital's Hilton Astana Hotel. Held annually since 2012 by the Bolashak Corporate Fund, the Ball aims at attracting public attention to the problem of obtaining quality education for children with special needs and supporting talented youth, Kazinform Agency reports.

Traditionally, guests of the Winter Charity Ball are businessmen, philanthropists, YPO members, politicians, ambassadors of foreign countries, famous artists, and bloggers. The hallmark of the event is the debutants of the ball. This year, 30 debutants are to take part in the ball, with more than 100 people taking part in the debutants audition each year.

The money raised from the Ball are to be directed to the charitable programs of the Bolashak Fund - “Every child deserves school” and “Travel grants” for children with special needs and talented youth.

The Fund using the charitable funds raised from charity balls has opened and equipped more than 80 specialized rehabilitation institutions, including 56 inclusion support rooms across Kazakhstan. More than 800 children with autism and other developmental disabilities were given the opportunity to go to school. More than 3,000 specialists have been trained, more than 500 jobs have been created in the field of inclusive education, and more than 120 educational and travel grants have been awarded to children from low-income families and people with special needs.
