Kazakh capital to host 1st Central Asian kurultai of social entrepreneurs
The Kazakh capital will play a host to the 1st Central Asian kurultai of social entrepreneurs bringing together Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the city akimat’s official website.
For the first time above 300 social entrepreneurs, representatives of state bodies, public organizations, and civil activists will gather in Astana to share experience of successful social entrepreneurship projects in Central Asia, innovation approaches in addressing social problems through social entrepreneurship, the role of the state in supporting social entrepreneurs, and social initiatives funding mechanisms.
One of the key themes is strengthening partnership between social entrepreneurs, state bodies and business community of Central Asia.
Kurultai is initiated by Kazakhstan Association of Social Innovators with the support of the National Economy Ministry, deputies of Central Asian nations, representatives of the Astana akimat and Eurasian Resources Group.
