The statement mentions the agreement, reached in the final document of the trilateral summit on July 19, 2022, on holding a high-level meeting in Russia.

The sides also stated that intensification of violence in the Middle East is having a negative impact on the situation in Syria, condemned the military attacks of Israel against Syria, which violate the country’s international rights, sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the international humanitarian rights. The guarantor countries called for cessation of attacks that destabilize and increase tension in the region.

The meeting’s participants voiced serious concern over actions of terrorist groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone and beyond, threatening the civilian population. The sides agreed to step up their efforts to stabilize the situation, including the humanitarian situation.
