Kazakh capital to open 9 more schools by yearend
Astana mayor Zhenis Kassymbek announced that nine more schools will open their doors in in the city by the yearend, Kazinform News Agency cites the city akimat.
Of which eight are being built as part of the Comfortable School national project and one is a private school. The schools are designed to accommodate 30,000 pupils in two shifts.
Four new schools are situated in Yessil district, three in Nura and another two in Almaty district.
The construction of new educational facilities will help solve the three-shift schooling problem in seven schools in the city.
The mayor said 15 new schools opened in the city at the start of the new academic year. Above 20 new schools will be built in 2025.
As earlier reported, 16 comfortable schools were unveiled throughout Kazakhstan on September 1. 369 schools will be constructed under the Comfortable School project at large.
