Kazakh-Chinese border catches fire
ASTANA. September 13. KAZINFORM - Urjar area bordering with China due to lightning has caught fire, the press service of the Border police under the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan informs.

As a result of strong winds the fire spread to the east and covered area up 15 kilometers.
For fire-fighting opertions 20 pieces of equipment were used. The Chinese side was informed about the fire to be suppressed on the Chinese territory via the border channel. By 6:00 am the fire was localized. No injuried people were reported.
