Kazakh, Chinese Defense Ministers held meeting
Today on the threshold of the main event Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has met with China's Defense Minister Colonel General Liang Guanglie.
The sides noted that this was the fifths meeting in last one and a half year. This gives an impetus to the interaction of the Armies of the two states.
"Cooperation with China within the SCO is of special importance for Kazakhstan. The interaction of our defense departments is dynamically developing," A.Dzhaksybekov said.
The SCO member states have gained great experience in the field of security and stability provision.
Joint anti-terrorist and military exercises, consultations and information exchange on the topical issues of international and regional policy are held on the regular basis within the SCO.
"The cooperation within the SCO was on the high level in 2010. All planned activities were successfully implemented. This gives reasons to be confident in cooperation extension in 2012-2013," the Kazakh Minister said.
The Defense Ministers of both states expressed confidence that further joint activities would promote strengthening the coordination mechanisms of the SCO, deepening the mutually beneficial cooperation in all dimensions, further promoting the Organization's image in the world arena.
