Kazakh-Chinese investment and trade-economic forum kicks off in Almaty
According to Advisor for economic and commercial issues of the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan Zhang Di, the trade turnover between to countries was up to USD 17 bln 500 mln in 2008. "Today Kazakhstan is the second world trade partner of China among the CIS states. in accordance with the other data, China was the third trade partner of Kazakhstan in 2008 and take the second place on the Kazakh import and third - on the export", he noted.
"We have our own legal base for investment activity and I believe, we are the country with favorable conditions for business", Vice President of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Kazakhstan Tatyana Zhdanova said.
Representatives of about 40 Chinese companies, working in the field of construction, energy, agriculture, engineering, pharmaceutics and others take part in the forum. The main purpose of the forum is to develop cooperation between the countries, study the markets of both state with further implementation of investment and trade-economic activity.
