Kazakh-Chinese joint venture to build atomic power stations in China
ALMATY. April 29. KAZINFORM /Serik Koibagarov/ National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC and CGNPC have entered into a memorandum on creation of a joint enterprise for construction of atomic power stations in the People?s Republic of China.

As per the memorandum signed by Kazatomprom President Mukhtar Dzhakishev and CGNPC Chairman Qian Zhimin, the parties will set up a joint enterprise which will perform construction of atomic power stations, and management and control over the construction. The China Atomic Energy Authority, CGNPC subsidiary and National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC will inject investments into the joint venture.
Qian Zhimin informed of the Chinese Government?s plans of further development of the nuclear industry. Welcoming support of the two countries governments, Qian Zhimin expressed hope that interaction will be close and fruitful.
Mukhtar Dzhakishev, in his turn, characterized the memorandum as the second step in strategic partnership between Kazatomprom and CGNPC.
