As part of the celebrations for Kazakhstan's Republic Day, one of Vienna's central cinemas, Stadtkino, hosted a screening of the Kazakh films “Dos Mukasan” and “Paralympian”, Kazinform Agency cites the press service of the Kazah MFA.

The screening was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Austria, the French Association of Kazakh Cinema, and the State Centre for Support of National Cinema, with the support of the educational center EduStream. The events were attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, media, and public figures of Austria, as well as residents and guests of the city. The audience was acquainted with the history of filmmaking and the development of cinema in Kazakhstan.

Before watching Dos Mukasan, I was not familiar with Kazakh cinema. I was pleasantly surprised. The story and plot of the film are fascinating, the actors perform at a high level and the film looks very interesting. Bravo!, said renowned film critic Lana Delaroche.

For his part, French Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Fatène Benhabylès-Foeth said that they really liked the film Paralympian. "I brought my son, who is familiar with the culture and history of the Central Asian region. The film was very emotional and I would like to mention the good work of the scriptwriter,” he said.
