Kazakh cuisine among world’s finest, ranking states

Four restaurants from Kazakhstan were included in the list of the best establishments in the world Top-1000 Restaurants 2025, compiled by the authoritative gastronomic rating La Liste, Kazinform reports.

The highest score among the Kazakhstani participants was received by the Almaty restaurant "Ogonyok", which earned 76.5 points. It is followed by two establishments from Astana - "Qazaq Gourmet" and "Selfie", which scored 76 points each. The list is completed by "Kazakh Aul", located in Almaty, with 75 points.

According to the updated La Liste rating, first place this year was shared by nine restaurants from seven countries, each of which earned 99.5 points. The winners included Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl in Switzerland, Guy Savoy and La Vague d’Or in France, L’Enclume in the UK, Le Bernardin and SingleThread in the US, Matsukawa in Japan, Lung King Heen in China and Schwarzwaldstube in Germany.

As stated on the official La Liste website, the ranking methodology is based on the analysis of thousands of publications, hundreds of restaurant guides and online reviews.
