Kazakh-Danish coop in field of human rights discussed in Astana
ASTANA. March 13. KAZINFORM Human Rights Commissioner Askar Shakirov met with the delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark Thursday, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Ombudsman.

The representatives of the Danish side were interested in the issues of preparation of Kazakhstan to the гзcoming chairmanship in the OSCE next year.
A.Shakirov briefed the delegation on peculiarities of the work of the Ombudsman?s office, state and problems of human rights in Kazakhstan, practice of cooperation between the state bodies and civil sector in the implementation of international human rights conventions and agreements.
The importance of ?Path to Europe? State Program, the main purpose of which is the development of comprehensive cooperation with European countries and structures was stressed at the meeting.
The sides discussed opportunities of establishment of bilateral cooperation in the filed of human rights as well. According to the Danish side, the exchange of views will help to identify specific areas for such cooperation in the development and implementation of joint projects.
