Kazakh Defense Minister, Head of OSCE Strategic Police Matters met

ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM A meeting of Kazakh Defense Minister Baurzhan Mukhamedzhanov with Head of the OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit Kevin Carty and Head of the OSCE Center in Astana Alexandre Keltchewsky has been held today in the Ministry, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Ministry.

The sides complimented the high level of cooperation between the Kazakh Defense Ministry and the OSCE Center and defined further steps on its development. In particular, the participants of the meeting discussed the issues of realization of joint projects in the sphere of struggle with organized criminality, illegal drug trafficking, training of afghan policemen at the bases of training centers of the Ministry of Kazakhstan, and realization of ?district police? project in Astana, aimed at extension of interaction of the police with population.
