Kazakh Defense Minister met with Chinese Deputy Chairman

BEIJING. April 24. KAZINFORM The Meetings House hosted the meeting of Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and Chinese Vice - President Xi Jinping on April 24 in Beijing.

According to Xi Jinping, cooperation in the sphere of the SCO security and defense,  the results  of cooperation between the parties, trends in the development of the  situation in the region's security sphere, as well as vectors identified for further security cooperation within the SCO were discussed during the meeting.

He said that at present the SCO improves its structure, enhances its legal framework, increases defense and security cooperation among the members. The process of regional economic integration is being accelerated.

After the meeting with Xi Jinping, A. Dzhaksybekov will hold bilateral talks with Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie and participate in a meeting of defense ministers of SCO member countries.
