Kazakh Defense Ministry to draw 15 000 draftees this year
ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM As reported earlier, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree on retirement of enlisted servicemen who served the compulsory military service and the next drafting of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the army scheduled on April-June and October-December 2013.
In this light, Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov approved a complex plan of calling up citizens of the country for military service. The draftees will be put to the medical, ideological and psychological tests.
In general, the ministry plans to draw more than 15 thousand draft-age men in spring 2013. 7 thousand draftees are expected to serve at the military units of the Defense Ministry, others - at the republican guard, the internal troops of the Internal Affairs Ministry, the Frontier Service of the National Security Committee and the Ministry for Emergency Situations.
