Kazakh delegation took part in IDEX-2011

ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM A delegation of the Kazakh Defense Ministry and representatives of "Kazakhstan Engineering" National Company, headed by Kazakh Deputy Minister of Defense, Major-General Talgat Zhanzhumenov took part in the X International Defense Exhibition IDEX-2011 held in Abu Dhabi, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry reports.

This exhibition is the biggest one in Central Asian and North African region. Among its main directions there were armament, electronic defense systems, radars, telecommunications, optical electronics, etc. Over 100 companies presented their products at the exhibition.

The Kazakh delegation has got acquainted with new armaments and military equipment presented by the world leading states. Talks with a number of producing companies were held. Opportunities for establishment of joint military productions in Kazakhstan were discussed at the meetings. Due to the technological modernization of the Armed Forces and defense industry implemented in Kazakhstan foreign producers show their interest in such initiatives.

To date several joint military enterprises are functioning in Kazakhstan.
